City Park Use:

The latest Contra Costa County Health Order continues to allow the use of playgrounds, tennis courts and skate parks, but also maintains the following restrictions for parks and recreation facilities:

  • Not allowed: use of recreation areas with high-touch equipment or areas for gathering outside your residence. These include picnic and barbecue areas, dog parks and outdoor gym facilities.

  • Allowed: sports or activities that use shared facilities with members of your own household or living unit. Passive recreation activities – such as walking, jogging, biking and relaxing – are encouraged as long as you stay at least 6 feet away from each other and do not gather in groups.

The City will monitor future orders of the Health Officer for modifications that would gradually make it possible to re-open the park and recreation facilities and facilities as safely as possible and provide updates as these conditions change.
