Vista Montaña Park (VMP) is a brand-new 5-acre turnkey project that has only opened for almost a year, despite the park being apparently completed. Located in the shadow of a new condo building, VMP was designed to meet the specifications of the Parkland Dedication Ordinance (PDO), which specifies that for every 1,000 planned inhabitants, a developer must include 3 acres of parkland. VMP is true, as of late, one of the nicer new community parks that have been developed. It doesn't have a lot of facilities, but it is pretty solid what it does have.

Vista Montañas Park is located in California's Contra Costa County. This is a lovely park for playing basketball, playing frisbee, and soccer. Nice park for those people who lived across the park, literally. Overall, this compensates for its cleanliness and elegance, despite the park being a bit small!

  • Dedicated parking lot (w/70 standard and 4 disabled spots) and limited parking on the street.

  • The Toilets

  • 1 Full-sized Court of Basketball

  • Lighted Soccer Field* with synthetic turf that can be either 1 full-sized field or 2 half-sized fields.

  • Tables for Picnics

  • The swelling of Bioretention areas for a healthier environment; the park is also fully irrigated with reclaimed water.

  • NO Tot Lots or Playgrounds

A pleasant park that is desperately needed for the city. It is hardly ever used in the area with the picnic tables. When they put a fence around this area and use it as a small dog park, it could be put to greater use. There are many owners of dogs in the city and there is no room for them to run. On the soccer field, they're not permitted, and rightly so.

The principal feature is the fenced turf soccer field. Lights at night are an incredible bonus. Adequate parking when you come at night - on-site toilets. This is a relatively new facility that is so fresh and clean - in good shape turf field.

This is a fun little park. For little kids and moms, there is a small playground. The toilets are still accessible on the great soccer field.

Vista Montañas Park

A park is an area set aside for human enjoyment and recreation, or for the conservation of wildlife or natural ecosystems, of natural, semi-natural or cultivated land. Urban parks are green areas within cities and towns set aside for recreation. Parks may consist of grassy areas, rocks, soil and trees, but they may also include houses, statues, fountains or playground structures, as well as other objects. Many parks have fields for playing sports such as baseball and football, and games such as basketball have paved areas. For walking, biking and other sports, several parks have trails.
